Beginning their musical lives as underground thrashers (No Life Til Leather, Kill 'Em All, anyone?), Metallica has evolved into the premiere American heavy metal band. Bar none. And the band shows up pretty often on action figure wish lists. Wish granted, shredder, now get out there and rock on. These action figures come individually carded or as a deluxe boxed set, re-creating the stage set from the 1988 And Justice For All tour.

Jason Newsted is captured mid-headbang and is 7 inches tall to the top of his airlifted mohawk. He's jointed at the neck, shoulders, forearms and hips. Dressed in - what else? - all black (including wristbands), Jason includes his five-string Alembic electric bass.

Lars Ulrich, Metallica's drummer, includes full set and stool.

Lars Ulrich is 5 1/4 inches tall perched on his drum stool and is articulated at the neck, shoulders, elbows, waist and ankles. He's shirtless with a white headband and, of course, drum sticks. The boxed edition includes his full Tama drum kit (double bass with pedals, snare, two mounted toms and two floor toms) and a full complement of Zildjian cymbals.
